iPhone 4 w.i.p. 15/12
Another hours work over lunch today.
Tweaked the materials and lighting, added some bounce cards, and added the front camera.
Still not 100% happy with the render, any tips on how I can improve it please?

iPhone 4 w.i.p. 13/12
about 30mins work over lunhc today.
Slight tweak to the materials and lighting. Also added the 'home' button and volume up and down button details.
First attempt at lighting the screen. To do this I have put a plane in front of the screen with the screen mat in diffuse, then added self illumination,Kelvin 6500, then put an opacity map in the filter slot.
Still needs some work, but am keen for feedback as to whether this is the best method, and what I can do to improve it.

iPhone 4 w.i.p. 09/12
Another hour work over lunch today.
Mainly spent setting up the environment and lighting.
It's my first real attempt at using hdri lighting, I'm quite pleased with how it's come out. However I know it can be improved so, please any tips on how it can be improved would be much appreciated.
Tomorrow i'll get back to modeling and finish of the outstanding parts eg. home button, bottom section and some headphones.
For the lighting, I'm using an hdri map on a skylight, then one target light coming in from the left, and a bounce card on the right. Like i say, i'm not sure if this is the best set up so pointers welcome.

Another hours work over lunch today. Modeling nearly finished now. Just need to texture and model headphones and lead.

Time for another lunch time project to keep me busy and my skills improving.
I've just got an iPhone and love it! So what better homage to pay to it than re-create it in beautiful 3D!!
About 30mins work today setting up ref's and blocking out. Here's my progress so far:

Another hours work today:
Next on the agenda is a re-model of the inner center section (part with the stair cases). I modeled this from a poor ref image, however I've come across a more detailed image now. Also adding more detail to the underside of the seating area.

Old Trafford 24/11
Another update. Around an hours work over lunch, started to model the birds nest scaffolding.
Also if anyone can suggest the best way to add interior lighting in the stair wells and behind the flags i'd really appreciate it. I'm struggling with it at the moment.

Articulate Quizmaker - Font bolding bug fix
Not sure if any of you have come across this bug in Quizmaker or not? Basically if you bold part of a sentence in Quizmaker, the bold text will be shifted down 1px. This is shown in the image below:
Although minor, it is obvious and messy.
So I've figured out a quick easy fix to this problem.
Instead of bolding the text, simply change the font to 'Arial Rounded MT Bold'. As you cna see in the image below the result is near perfect.

Another hours work today over lunch. Mainly modeling today, added some stairs and other objects to the interior, also roof ladders. Tomorrow I will move onto the dreaded birds nest scaffolding around the roof.

Another hours work over lunch today, again mainly texture work. I also finished of the columns and side walls and duplicated them to the opposing side.

Technics Turntables
Unfortuatly due to my kit not being able to handle HQ renders atm, I'm going to have to call these finished for now. I hope to re-visit them in the future as I know the lighting still needs alot of work.

Old Trafford 10/11
Another hours work over lunch today.
Started blocking in more shapes, e.g. doors, and debris such as boxes ect... Also work on the sign and surrounding rails. Also added GI and exposure control to render.
Sorry for the poor material in the render, I know it's crap and makes all the details hard to see. New material will be applied for next render.
