Technics update 20

Another hours work over lunch today.

I've just been playing around with setting up the whole set-up now I've got the mixer modeled.

I WILL go back and address the the issues previously mentioned, I just got into a rut with the turntable and needed a break. For I've scrapped the record and am playing with different slipmat designs.

Also I will need to tweak my lighting as the scene is now much bigger.

Comments and crits please...

Technics update 13/10

Havn't had much time to work on this over lunch today as was in a meeting.

Anyway, here's a quick render (I say quick, it took nearly an hour :-().

Been working on the lights, and am getting results that I'm much happier with. Still need to tweak lights more, and sort out a normal map and texture for the record.

As always comments and crits welcome.

Thanks

UFI e-learning - Alpha build

After a hectic week of work, I've managed to get the alpha build of the UFI course out on time. whoooo!

This is an e-learning course designed at teaching adults lessons for keeping kids safe while browsing online.

It's all flash driven, with a holding file that calls all the other files in. It has been designed this way to keep individual file size to a minimum, as we have a low final bandwidth to work with.

Thanks too, to Chris and Dan @TiltMedia, Brighton, for their collaboration on the video and gfx.

Anyway here's a few screen grabs from the alpha build...

Technics update 12/10

A few overnight renders. Still not at all happy with my lights. Another session over lunch today me thinks.

Technics update 06/10

Some more material updates...

Still not happy with the materials, the brushed metal needs some tweaking still to lighten it up. Starting to get a more true to life material for the top of the decks which I'm more happy with.

Going yo have a play around with my light set up over lunch today (if I get time).
Stay tuned for updates, as ever, your comments and crits are welcome.

Thanks

Timberland e-learning

While I'm waiting on final video files for another project, I've started work on another custom Flash build for 'Timberland'

At the moment I'm just fleshing out the .xml with all the content. I'm using Cranberry for this project which is our in-house .xml driven Flash dev tool.

Here's a couple of initial shots...

B&HCC Articulate build

One of the projects that I've been working on recently is an e-learning course for Brighton & Hove City Council. The course was an Articulate build, on Change in the Workplace.

We released the final SCORM version to B&HCC last Friday, and got very positive feedback from them.

“Can I just say thank you for all yours and your team’s help in getting to this stage so efficiently and within timescales. We’re really impressed and it’s been a pleasure working with you all! “ Tracy Hughes, Learning & Development Manager (ICT & e-Learning)

Here's a couple of screen grabs from the course.

Technics update 01/10

Me again... with another update. For now a few more modeling updates, as well as slight tweak to the lights.

I'm going to start from scratch with my materials over lunch, I wasn't happy with the black plastic mats from before, so going to fine tune those.
