I think I'm about ready to call this project finished and move onto the next.

Another hours work over lunch today.

Tweaked the materials and lighting, added some bounce cards, and added the front camera.

Still not 100% happy with the render, any tips on how I can improve it please?

iPhone 4 w.i.p. 13/12

about 30mins work over lunhc today.

Slight tweak to the materials and lighting. Also added the 'home' button and volume up and down button details.

First attempt at lighting the screen. To do this I have put a plane in front of the screen with the screen mat in diffuse, then added self illumination,Kelvin 6500, then put an opacity map in the filter slot.

Still needs some work, but am keen for feedback as to whether this is the best method, and what I can do to improve it.

iPhone 4 w.i.p. 09/12

Another hour work over lunch today.

Mainly spent setting up the environment and lighting.

It's my first real attempt at using hdri lighting, I'm quite pleased with how it's come out. However I know it can be improved so, please any tips on how it can be improved would be much appreciated.

Tomorrow i'll get back to modeling and finish of the outstanding parts eg. home button, bottom section and some headphones.

For the lighting, I'm using an hdri map on a skylight, then one target light coming in from the left, and a bounce card on the right. Like i say, i'm not sure if this is the best set up so pointers welcome.

Another hours work over lunch today. Modeling nearly finished now. Just need to texture and model headphones and lead.

Here's a quick material and initial light test:

This is a first render with lights, and i know its very dark, i will lighten it up for the next render.

Hi all,

Time for another lunch time project to keep me busy and my skills improving.

I've just got an iPhone and love it! So what better homage to pay to it than re-create it in beautiful 3D!!

About 30mins work today setting up ref's and blocking out. Here's my progress so far:

A week in the snow

We've been house bound since Tuesday night with heavy snow, and there's still no sign of a let up in the weather.
