Technics update 20
Another hours work over lunch today.
I've just been playing around with setting up the whole set-up now I've got the mixer modeled.
I WILL go back and address the the issues previously mentioned, I just got into a rut with the turntable and needed a break. For I've scrapped the record and am playing with different slipmat designs.
Also I will need to tweak my lighting as the scene is now much bigger.

Quick render over lunch to test the normal map for the record. As you can see it's there, it just needs tweaking a fair it...
Anyway here's the latest render (with 3rd light added at front) and normal map for the record + normal .jpg.
Comments and crits always welcome...

Here's a couple of renders from overnight. Still need some tweaks to the light to brighten it up.

Technics update 13/10
Havn't had much time to work on this over lunch today as was in a meeting.
Anyway, here's a quick render (I say quick, it took nearly an hour :-().
Been working on the lights, and am getting results that I'm much happier with. Still need to tweak lights more, and sort out a normal map and texture for the record.
As always comments and crits welcome.
Thanks

UFI e-learning - Alpha build
After a hectic week of work, I've managed to get the alpha build of the UFI course out on time. whoooo!
This is an e-learning course designed at teaching adults lessons for keeping kids safe while browsing online.
It's all flash driven, with a holding file that calls all the other files in. It has been designed this way to keep individual file size to a minimum, as we have a low final bandwidth to work with.
Thanks too, to Chris and Dan @TiltMedia, Brighton, for their collaboration on the video and gfx.
Anyway here's a few screen grabs from the alpha build...
